Hello everyone, I’m back with another video about the books I’m hoping to read in December – before 2018 is upon us. Continue reading “Books To Read Before 2018”
Today I am excited (and nervous!) to bring you my first booktube video. Booktube is youtubers talking about books. I’m jumping on the booktube bandwagon to be a better reader. I will also try to do different kinds of videos other than bookish ones, and in no way is this going to affect my blogging (unless for the better!). If you have a booktube channel, please leave a comment on my channel and let’s be friends!

I’m having a bit of a blogging personality crisis. Well, it isn’t as serious as it sounds for, let’s be honest, I haven’t been serious about blogging for quite a while. It doesn’t nag me, or excite me as it used to. And it’s not because I’ve grown out of it. I just don’t know what more I can do with it. Continue reading “Of Blogging Personalities”
How To Be A Bad Blogger
1. Do not reply to comments. Who has the time? You already said what you had to say. And they’re asking for more? Why don’t they just like and share like normal people do?
2. Participate in the community as little as possible. Yeah, you need to Continue reading “Of Bad Blogging”
First I thought it was a passing phase and out of nowhere, I found myself singing Daniel Powter. Then, a day turned into a few days. On Saturday I called it a “bad week”, as I shed a few embarrassing and uncharacteristic tears in public transport. Today, it’s ten days. Like any bad meteorologist, I hope my prediction is false when I say, “Seems like Hurricane Crapathy will be with us for a fortnight.”
To be honest, I don’t know what crapathy means exactly. I first learnt about it through Continue reading “Crapathy”
I want to try something new. I’m thinking of calling it Amrita’s ‘Wednesday Words of Wisdom’. These wouldn’t be rehashing some trite motivational quotes. No, Messieurs et Mesdames et Mesdemoiselles. These will be the hard-earned truth, laid brutally on your casual reading plate. Today’s words are: Never ask anybody what they think of you. Continue reading “Book Review: A Horse Walks Into A Bar”
Another review of Of Opinions – the book! If you’ve been thinking about picking up a copy (or reading the one you already own!), read on to find out more about it!
“It is so intense, it makes you want to stay alive. To keep going. To keep chasing it or trying to make it last. We call it something indefinable that goes by the name of love, but, essentially, it is a puzzle we can’t work out. I’m not sure I’d want to work it out either.”—Amrita Sarkar, Of Opinions
Fellow WordPress blogger Amrita Sarkar of ofopinions.wordpress.com has expanded her blog posts into a book of the same name, Of Opinions. With thoughts ranging from beauty to emotion and memory, anxieties, and relationships and social media, this book is a map to how a gifted twenty-something experiences and judges the world.
The essays are a sort of distilled college compositions, imbued with the insights of a student who wants to own each thesis statement. While I would have preferred conversations structured by their antecedents, there’s an urgency and freshness in…

I wanted to call this Of Blogging and Commerce, or The Commercial Side of Blogging, or to be more specific, The Commercial Side of Blogging (Or Lack Of). I could have called it Making Money By Blogging, but that would be too click-baity. And obviously, inaccurate.
It’s my three-year blog anniversary this week. Continue reading “Of Blogging and Money”
It’s a strange, paradoxical concept really. All the evidence points against it. You might even call it a clever ploy to get attention, for we all know by now what constitutes as the most attractive quality in the world – vulnerability. People would be too darn obnoxious, even unloveable, if they did not hate themselves a little. Continue reading “Of Self-Hate”
I like to do these updates when I hit milestones, just to look back, review and assess how things are going for my blog. Usually, it is when it hits a certain number of followers (it, the blog, not myself, for I would run very, very fast if that were the case), is a blogiversary, Continue reading “Of Blog Updates”
